Chris & Emma – Engagement Shoot

Chris and Emma are extreme people. It seems like they’re not scared of anything. I could tell them to bungee jump and they would do it. So having them for an engagement shoot was great. These two are getting married at the end of the month (Whoohoo!) and we got together to try and capture a bit of who they are (hence, the bicycle)

Christian & Katharina – Engagement Shoot, Cape Town

Christian & Katharina arrived a few days ago, all the way from Germany, for their wedding taking place on the 27th of November. We did an engagement shoot, to meet each other, have fun while doing so, and to get Christian used to my camera! (: He is not too fond being in front of a lens, and then, to bump this bit of tension, a whole BUNCH of photographers pitched up! I couldn’t figure out the sudden change in my models’ expressions at first, but soon heard the chatter behind me… Our stage was set right in the middle of a tourist-tour. hehe

Needless to say, they are an adorable couple, and I look forward to their wedding day!

Thanks guys, you were great! See you soon..

Carl & Vanessa – Engagement Shoot, Greyton

This post is well overdue. Carl, Vanessa and I went for a wonderful engagement shoot in Greyton.

Greyton is a small, beautiful town situated about 2.5 hours from Cape Town. We had so much fun seeing all the secret spots in Greyton and I saw someone catching a fish. I’m one step away from being a nature-person

Carl and Vanessa are beautiful together and love each so much.

Guys, you’re fantastic. Can’t wait for the wedding.

Rudolph & Luize – E-Shoot, Stellenbosch

The rain stopped pounding at exactly the right time, which left us with the most perfect cloud cover and lighting for a fun filled afternoon. Who would have thought that a semi-deserted caravan park can provide such a nice setting for a photo shoot?

Rudolph and Luize are getting married end of September, so watch this space for another glimpse at the smiles, kisses and happy times from these two! They asked for a natural setting for their shoot, as this spoke more to their personalities – how true is this not! Such a relaxed, honest couple you don’t meet often!

Good fun, an in-love couple and the perfect conditions. This was a most enjoyable afternoon!

What a beautiful day, with such a beautiful couple! Quite a while overdue, but people this happy deserve sharing!

Ons het besluit om die pragtige trein trippie aan te durf Simonstad toe. Hierdie is defnitief een van die mooiste stukkies spoor in ons land! Wat ons nie geweet het nie, is dat daar nou instandhouding gedoen word op die spoor! Maar wie het gesé ‘n bus trippie kan nie ook fun wees nie!

Die tweetjies borrel oor van glimlagte, sonskyn en warmte – en dit was regtig soveel pret om hierdie voorsmakie vir die troue te kon meedeel. Geniet dit, en ons kan nie wag vir die groot dag nie!

Coenie & Elle, – Engagement Shoot, Grabouw, Cape Town

When I first met Coenie and Ella, they told me that they where quite camera shy. When I arrived for the shoot at Coenie’s family camp site in Grabouw – Back to Basics, all I could think about was this camera shy couple. Well, take 5 minutes and look through these photo’s and look how awesome this couple can laugh, giggle and just have fun in front of my camera.

I cannot wait for this couple’s wedding, it is going to be a really awesome day.

Carl & Imke – Engagement Shoot, Cape Town

Carl and Imke are getting married next week at the beautiful Webersburg – for which they need a few photos that will be printed on canvas as part of the decor for the big day. We decided to head to Long Street to get a few shots, and also to get used to being in front camera – not that it was in any way needed! These two are natural models!

Jéan & Hesté – Engagement Shoot, Stellenbosch

They wanted a farm setting for their engagement shoot, and we were so fortunate to do it very close to where I live! Bonus, ’cause I just love the place, I know the spots, and we had freeeeedom! And after shifting the date a few times according to the weather, all worked out perfect!

I also had the privilege to use the photos to design their save-the-date…. might be posting this as well, so look out..

Rassie & Karen – Engagement Shoot, Stellenbosch

Rassie and Karen wanted an engagement shoot to have some photies to use at their wedding / in their invite.

The day did us all good!
We had so much fun. Karen packed in anything she could find – which gave us loads of options – and we had time, a gorgeous playground and touching sunshine!

Dit was heerlik om julle beter te leer ken, en te speel. Ek sien baie uit om ‘n volle dag met julle te hê die 19de Desember! Wow – baie dankie julle! Julle gaan ‘n awesome trou-couple wees.

Arno & Katrien [Engagement shoot] – Strand

Arno and Katrien asked if we could please take a few photos of them that they would then have printed and put up in the provided framespace at Kanu, where their wedding was going to.

This provided the opportunity for them to get used to being in front of the camera, and also a chance to get to know them before the big day over a nice drink afterwards.
