Johan en Hendrien het sekerlik op een van die warmste dae van 2011 getrou. Ek het laas so warm gekry met Hendrien se sussie, Annatjie, se troue.

Johan en Hendrien is fantasties saam. Selfs in die kort tydperk wat ek hulle te siene gekry het, kon ek sien hoe hulle die beste in mekaar uitbring.

Die onthaal is in die NG kerksaal in Montagu gehou. Geen troubeplanners of venues-waar-als-klaar-gedoen-is nie. Net vrek harde werk. Dit wil gedoen wees! Die troue was pragtig, met ‘n aansteeklike gevoel van liefde en gelukkigheid.

It is not often you get a wedding 2 days before the actual wedding date but this is where the benefits of the Germinate Team come in handy and it is why we are such a great team. This wedding sprung on me very quick and I was only able to meet both Thomas and Debbie on their actual wedding day. What an amazing young and intelligent couple, a huge congratulations to Debbie for finishing top of her class and graduating a few days before her big day – what an achievement..

We had a great time, from start to finish. Both Thomas and Debbie have such love for each other and I wish them many years of fun, laughter and happiness. I am sure you will see by some pictures the fun filled spirit they have.. Good luck with your studies further and I wish you both the best for what lies ahead.

What a wedding!!  When I met Carlyn the first time I knew we were going to have a lot of fun on their wedding day, and I knew that this would be a day to remember.

Nothing disappointed and it was a beautiful day! Could it be any different when you’re getting married on your family farm in Plettenberg Bay?!! The atmosphere was relaxed and it was great getting to know Carlyn’s family while she got ready for her big day.  We laughed endlessly and everyone will remember Ouma’s joke while Carlyn was getting her hair done!

I met Abri and Madri in March this year and immediately took a liking to this fun filled, loving couple. I could immediately see that their wedding was going to be a blast. Well, the 9th of December arrived and I arrived at Madri’s place and I was greeted with the biggest smile. She was so full of laughs!

The shoot with her and her bridesmaids was great fun, driving through the streets of Riebeek Kasteel looking for photo opportunities.. what fun!

The wedding was great, the people where awesome and as I said we had a great time from start to finish.

These two have been married for eight months and decided to have another celebration with their South African friends and family.  I was honoured to be a part of their special day, and it was beautiful to see that they are still madly in love!

Bennie and Nicole, it was such a privilege for me to share your special day with you.  The love amongst your families are tangible and everyone made me feel welcome during the day.  I hope you enjoy the photos and I wish you many more years of fun and happiness! Enjoy!

Ian and Donné’s wedding was the last for which I had the privilege to shoot for Germinate, and what an absolutely stunning way to end this personal journey with.

Donné wore an exquisite dress while Ian wore a confident and happy smile as he watched the love of his life walk down the isle to meet him.

It was beautiful, and such a memorable day that all involved will remember for a long time.

Mr and Mrs Deacon, hope you are enjoying Thailand and that the photos may bless your happiness.

It was such an honour when Jerusha, his mom, asked me if I would be able to take the photos at his 1st Birthday.  What a great day it was.  His family went to great effort to make his day special and I loved the Toy Story theme that they chose.  This was the second time that I worked with this family and it was a great day indeed.  Who knows what we’ll do the next time?!

Ek ken Aletmarie en Jonathan al van 2007 af en dit was ‘n groot voorreg om deel te kon wees van hulle troudag.

Jonathan en Aletmarie se paadjie saam het in Graad 11 op skool begin toe hy haar met ‘n “sal jy met my uitgaan” briefie uitgevra het in die Biologieklas.   6 Jaar later het hulle trou aan mekaar beloof op Sterkwater plaas, in die Witzenberg Vallei naby Ceres waar Jonathan boer.  Daar was min droë oë by die  toe Aletmarie vir Jonathan belowe dat al sou die uie-oes faal en al is daar geen appels of pere aan die bome nie, sal sy by hom staan en hom eer.  En wanneer die uie-oes groot is en die bome swaar dra aan die appels en pere sal sy saam met hom feesvier en die oorvloedige seen van die Here geniet.

Die gasvryheid van die Gibson en Viljoen families tesame met die plaasatmosfeer, goeie kos en goeie geselskap het al die gaste laat voel asof hulle familie is. Selfs Jonathan se skaaphond, Luka, was deel van die troue en het stert-swaaiend by die paadjie afgehardloop gekom om die ringe te bring.   Die ou John Deere trekker moes natuurlik ook ‘n “site” (om dit in die Koue-Bokkevleders se woorde te sê) kry en het gesorg dat Jonathan en sy manne genoeg aandag kry toe hulle by die seremone opdaag.

How I wish we had.

These two are the coolest people you’ll ever get to know in a day. They love each other immensely and it shows in everything they do. Their wedding was perfect – perfect food, perfect people and perfect decorations. There was even a stage where every single person at the wedding was on the dance floor.

A cool twist to their wedding was the number of people who tuned in via Skype. There were 5 laptops set up with people watching from all over the world. The one guy even put on his suit for the occasion.
