And so it had to come to an end – at least on the personal side for me.

Ian and Donné’s wedding was the last for which I had the privilege to shoot for Germinate, and what an absolutely stunning way to end this personal journey with.

Donné wore an exquisite dress while Ian wore a confident and happy smile as he watched the love of his life walk down the isle to meet him.

It was beautiful, and such a memorable day that all involved will remember for a long time.

Mr and Mrs Deacon, hope you are enjoying Thailand and that the photos may bless your happiness.

Thank you for the opportunity to capture and share in the happiness of your day, even if it was for the last time at Germinate.

Robert & Lynette – Towerbosch, Stellenbosch

It was an astoundingly beautiful day – not only referring to the perfect April weather in Stellenbosch, but also the special, intimate celebration of Robert and Lynette.

Towerbosch once again lived up to its own high level of standards – the food, the catering and the stunningly serene setting against the lush mountain side.

As Lynette described their relationship: “Ek is ‘n dromer, en jy is my droom”.

No use trying in topping that with other words…

Leon & Ronel – Beloftebos, Stanford

Beloftebos is surely one of the most beautiful venues in the whole of the Western Cape. Leon & Ronel came across it by accident while googling to find their wedding venue – and they definitely hit the jackpot.

Intimate, serene, breathtakingly beautiful, and with that, a mystic cloudy day to top the day… except for the 1.5 hours of rain durin gthe couple shoot…

In the way that Leon described his wife – “Jy is perfek vir my” – the same can be said for the day!

Gerrit & Jennifer – Villiersdorp

Villiersdorp meets Malmesbury. Gawe mense, gekookte kos, Kurt Darren en vriendelike glimlagte. Dit is wat hierdie massiewe plattelandse troue so spesiaal gemaak het.

Gerrit (a.k.a Kwas) en Jennifer het die knoop gehaak in die oulike NG Kerk in Villiersdorp, waarna die partytjie in volle swang afgeskop het by die Villiersdorp Skougronde.

Baie geluk met ‘n pragtige, vreugdevolle bruilofsviering!

Matt & Silke – South Hill, Elgin

We often race past the Grabouw / Elgin area on the N2; and seldom (if ever) do we take a turn-off onto a road called “The Valley” – what a pleasant surprise this proved to be. Matt and Silke chose a beautiful venue with a stunning brackdrop for their special, intimate celebration.

Jacques & Mariza – Delsma, Riebeeck Kasteel

Riebeeck Kasteel is the cutest, most quant little town! Well done to Jacques and Mariza for finding such a gem like Delsma Farm!

It was the perfect, typical February day – warm, perfect skies and not a breath of wind surrounded by endless rolling hills of grain fields – and to end it off, a great reception at a beautiful venue.

Once again, congratulations you two – it was a well organised, enjoyable wedding celebration!

Robert & Debbie – Silvermist, Constantia

It was the most spectacular day in Cape Town – not a single breath of wind, with the silence thick in the beauty of Table Mountain at Constantia. Rob & Debbie came all the way from Johannesburg to have their big day in Cape Town – and it was a celebration at a beautiful venue on the most perfect day.

Nick and Diné wanted to host a memorable celebration – a goal they certainly achieved. Loads of laughter, loads of fun and a setting which just plainly allowed for this. It was a brilliant day and a well deserved unforgettable evening for not just Mr and Mrs Bennet, but to all those who attended.
